Union minister of state (Independent charge) science and technology, MoS PMO Personnel, Public grievances, pensions, atomic energy and space, Jitendra Singh launched the state-of-the art, Artificial Intelligence(AI) supported Telemedicine Mobile Clinic “Aarogya-doctors on wheels” for remote hilly areas of Ramnagar Region in Udhampur district of J&K.

Patient can narrate his complaint in his native language and the AI Doctor also replies in same"

 

“Arogya” functions of the latest methodology wherein a patient can narrate his illness or complaint in his native language and the AI doctor understands the language and responds to the patient in the same language.

 

The patient is connected to one of the super specialists in the country as this telemedicine hospital has been tied up with some of the leading hospitals. Later, the patient’s entire body profile and investigations are done. Within about 40-50 minutes, a patient is equipped with necessary prescription.

 

The minister asserted that the treatment will be free of cost. He further added that Prime Minister Modi has made a firm resolve to provide healthcare facilities to the remotest part of the nation, utilizing the latest technological developments. The present initiative is also inspired by this vision, he said.

 

Singh informed that the first phase of this facility was conducted in the far-flung Gandoh area of district Doda where it spent almost three months. Whereas,  The second phase was carried along the Zero Line villages of the International border, and the third phase was held in the upper reaches of Bilawar. Additionally, the fourth will be conducted in the coming months in Dudu Basantgarh in the upper  reaches of Ramnagar block of Udhampur.

 

The minister further urged the local residents to take advantage of the services, highlighting that with the establishment of the new super-specialty hospital, healthcare professionals are now easily accessible to them in their own neighbourhoods.
