Prime Minister's engagement with Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi focused on enhancing economic cooperation, stating trade and investment as priorities. "Had a great interaction with Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi of Japan. India and Japan will continue to deepen ties in diverse sectors, with a priority on trade and investment," PM Modi said.

Union Minister Annapurna Devi warns of strict action against social media content, stand-up comedy and memes that mock or demean women.

She emphasised that discriminatory content targeting women on the basis of gender or ridiculing their roles in society would be treated as a punishable offence. “Our officials will be closely scrutinising all social media platforms, including comedy memes and videos, that attempt to show women in a poor light, belittle them, or highlight inequalities,” she said, adding that provisions for punishment are being put in place.

Akasa Air commences commercial flights from Noida AIrport

The Airline's inaugural flight on June 16 departed Navi Mumbai International Airport at 7:25 AM and arrived at Noida International Airport at 9:35 PM. The inaugural flight from Noida International Airport (NIA) departed at 10:15 AM and arrived at Navi Mumbai International Airport at 12:30 PM. With this, Akasa Air becomes one of the first airlines to operate commercial services from the Airport.
