Apple has slashed the prices of its iPhone 16 Pro models in India, a rare move given that international prices have not changed.
At Apple's recent "Glowtime" event, the company unveiled the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max, bringing in several significant updates to its flagship phones, including larger displays, improved camera features, and cutting-edge AI capabilities.
The starting price of the iPhone 16 Pro (128GB) in India is now ₹1,19,900, while the iPhone 16 Pro Max (256GB) is priced at ₹1,44,900.
This marks a considerable decrease from last year's iPhone 15 Pro prices, where the iPhone 15 Pro was released at ₹1,34,990 and the iPhone 15 Pro Max at ₹1,56,990. The international prices of the iPhone 16 Pro series have remained the same, making this price reduction specific to the Indian market.
The prices of the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus remain unchanged. The base model with 128GB storage starts at ₹79,990, and the iPhone 16 Plus starts at ₹89,990.
One of the standout enhancements in the iPhone 16 Pro models is the increased display size. The iPhone 16 Pro now features a 6.3-inch screen, while the iPhone 16 Pro Max boasts a massive 6.9-inch display.
Both models come with slimmer bezels, offering users more screen real estate without increasing the overall size of the phones.
Apple has made significant advancements in the camera technology of the iPhone 16 Pro series. Both models now include a 5x telephoto lens, which was previously exclusive to the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
The primary camera is a 48MP fusion camera with a second-generation quad-pixel sensor, enabling users to capture 48MP ProRAW images.
Additionally, Apple has introduced a 48MP ultra-wide camera for improved macro shots.
A new dedicated camera button will be introduced later this year, providing users with more precise control over photography features using a capacitive button.
