IAS officer Manoj Kumar Agarwal appointed as WB’s new CEO

The Election Commission has appointed IAS officer Manoj Kumar Agarwal as the Chief Electoral Officer of West Bengal. A 1990 batch officer, he will oversee the 2026 assembly elections, succeeding Ariz Aftab, who served as CEO for nearly eight years. Agarwal previously held senior roles in multiple state departments.
