A woman was allegedly attacked by two unknown attackers in Shimla while returning home after withdrawing her nomination for the panchayat pradhan elections, police said on Saturday.

 

Police said an FIR has been filed against unknown accused in connection with the incident that happened in the Sunni area on Friday.

 

As per the complaint filed by the woman, Sushma Devi (48), she was returning home after withdrawing her nomination for the panchayat pradhan elections when two men came out from bushes and attacked her. She suffered injuries in the attack.

 

Police said a probe has been started into the incident.
