Two people were killed and one injured after a Bolero Camper they were travelling in fell into a deep gorge in Rohru, Shimla district.
The deceased have been identified as Rajvant (36) of Denwari village, and Vishal Sankhyan (42) of Sondari village. The injured has been identified as Kamraj of Sondari village.
Police said the accident happened on Tuesday around 10:45 pm on the Chirgaon-Khabal road near Khabal village. The driver reportedly lost control, causing the vehicle to plunge nearly 300 meters below the road. Two people died on the spot, while one sustained serious injuries.
A police team reached the site after receiving information and, with the help of local residents, rescued the injured and recovered the bodies.
The injured was rushed to Civil Hospital, Rohru, where he is undergoing treatment. Post-mortem examinations of the deceased were conducted at the hospital, and the bodies were later handed to their families.
DSP Rohru Pranav Chauhan confirmed the incident. He said a case has been registered, and further probe is underway to determine the exact cause of the accident.
