Traffic diversions and elaborate security arrangements are in place for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Chandigarh on Friday, where he will unveil various development projects worth over Rs 6,600 crore in the healthcare, education and road infrastructure sectors. The PM will also inaugurate the Advanced Mother and Child Centre and the Advanced Neurosciences Centre at the PGI.
Earlier, Modi will flag off India’s first hydrogen train between Jind and Sonipat at the Jind railway station in Haryana, besides inaugurating various development projects worth Rs 14,700 crore at Eklavya Stadium, Jind.
The Prime Minister will also visit Jalandhar, where he will lay the foundation stone and inaugurate multiple development projects worth over Rs 5,470 crore aimed at strengthening rail connectivity, improving passenger convenience and accelerating economic development in the region. He will launch 75 redeveloped railway stations, including Jalandhar Cantt, under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme.
