National BJP leader Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal.

National BJP leader Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal Bhukhri Kalan strongly criticised a shocking incident in Barnala, Punjab, where a drug addict brutally killed a critic of the ruling party in broad daylight and then shamelessly broadcast the act live on Facebook.

Grewal stated that this horrific event clearly shows the complete failure of the Punjab Government, led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, along with the state and central leadership of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). He said the incident has shocked people across Punjab and highlights the total breakdown of law and order in the state.

He pointed out that the AAP government came to power promising big changes, or “Badlaav,” and vowed to wipe out the drug problem through its campaign called “Yudh Nashian Virudh.” However, Grewal said the reality is very different—streets in Punjab are seeing open murders, the drug mafia is growing stronger, and addicts are ruining lives right under the government’s watch.

Grewal further stated that the government’s claims of good governance and a strong anti-drug campaign are nothing but empty words and false promises. He said that when criminals and drug addicts can openly commit murder in daylight, boast about it on social media, and still go free, it’s a clear sign that the system has completely failed.

He added that this is not a “war against drugs” but a surrender to the drug mafia and lawlessness. Grewal noted that every day brings new tragedies in Punjab, with families being torn apart and young people lost to addiction, while the government focuses on self-praise and publicity instead of taking real action.

Grewal said, “This is not the Punjab that our great Gurus, martyrs, and farmers dreamed of. This is a state that is bleeding under the weight of administrative negligence, political arrogance, and moral decay. The AAP government must take immediate accountability and resign if it cannot ensure the safety and dignity of its citizens.”

He urged the people of Punjab to recognise this harsh reality and come together to fight the drug problem and the government’s indifference that allows it to continue.

Grewal concluded by saying that Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann was elected to protect Punjab, not to let it become a crime scene. He called the so-called “Badlaav” a symbol of fear, filth, and failure, stressing that it’s time for real accountability, not excuses.
