Madhya Pradesh Police launches statewide drive to act against illegal vehicle accessories.

Madhya Pradesh police have launched a 15-day special drive from March 1 to curb the misuse of hooters, flashlights (red, yellow, blue), VIP stickers, and incorrect number plates on private vehicles.

Officials have directed senior police officers in Bhopal and Indore to take strict legal action against violators and submit compliance reports on enforcement measures.

According to state police, such violations are increasing, breaching the Motor Vehicles Act. The use of unauthorised accessories on private vehicles, including hooters and VIP stickers, has been linked to undesirable activities.

During a recent VIP visit to Bhopal, an unauthorized vehicle was caught, resulting in a criminal case under various sections of the Motor Vehicles Act and the Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
