A disturbing video linked to the alleged rape case involving the wife of an Indian Air Force officer in Nagpur has surfaced, showing the 24-year-old woman crying for help and shouting “Chhodo mujhe” (“let me go”) while being restrained by a 26-year-old man identified as Ayyaz Taj Madare. The woman has alleged that after the incident she was forcibly declared converted to Islam and subjected to another attempted sexual assault.
According to the complaint, the woman works for a property dealing firm while her husband is posted outside the city. She stated that the accused first contacted her in February 2025 pretending to be interested in buying a plot of land. He allegedly persuaded her to meet him at a hotel on Wardha Road in Nagpur, where he offered her juice that had been laced with an intoxicating substance. After she lost consciousness, Madare allegedly raped her and secretly recorded videos and photographs of the assault.
The complainant further alleged that the accused used the footage to blackmail her over the following months, repeatedly sexually exploiting her and extorting ₹3.09 lakh from her. She claimed the harassment escalated when Madare began pressuring her to convert to Islam and compelled her to participate in various religious rituals.
The complaint states that on May 31, Madare took her to Kalmeshwar in Nagpur district, where she was introduced to another accused, Ameen Sheikh, aged 30, and a cleric identified as Hazrat Maulana. The three allegedly took her to a secluded location and conducted rituals claiming that her conversion had been completed. The woman alleged that they then attempted to rape her again, and the incident was captured in the now-circulating video.
The case came to light after the woman’s husband returned from his posting and she informed him about the alleged abuse as well as blackmail. Following this, a complaint was lodged at Sonegaon Police Station in Nagpur.
Police have arrested Ayyaz Taj Madare and Ameen Sheikh, and a local court has remanded them to five days of custody for further investigation. A search is underway for the third accused, Hazrat Maulana, who is reportedly from Tamia in Madhya Pradesh.
Authorities have registered multiple charges in the case, including rape, extortion, attempt to force religious conversion, and offences under the Maharashtra law related to black magic and human sacrifice practices. The investigation is ongoing.
