Himachal Pradesh Industries Minister Harshwardhan Chauhan on Wednesday chaired the 246th meeting of the Himachal Pradesh Khadi and Village Industries Board here and stressed the need for effective implementation of programmes related to khadi and village industries, with a special focus on employment generation and strengthening the rural economy.
He launched the official website of the Himachal Pradesh Khadi and Village Industries Board and stated that the website would play a significant role in disseminating information about the Department’s schemes, programmes, activities and achievements to the general public simply and transparently. Through the departmental website, http://hpkhadi.in, beneficiaries, entrepreneurs and citizens would be able to access relevant information related to the department with ease.
Additional Chief Secretary (Industries) R.D. Nazim, Chief Executive Officer, Khadi and Village Industries Jitendra Kumar, Under Secretary (Finance) Bhuvnesh Sharma, Joint Director (Industries) Ramesh Verma and State Nodal Officer-cum-District Officer (DO) Sanjeev Jasta were present on the occasion.
