IHCL will construct 200 rooms as well as banquet halls etc. in this area. Facilities like electricity, water supply etc. will be ensured by Greater Ranchi Development Authority in the area. This was agreed upon in the cabinet meeting in January this year.

The Taj Hotel, developed by this leading company of the Tata Group, has earned the distinction of being a highly prestigious hospitality destination in India and the world. An agreement was signed with Tata on this issue under the Jharkhand Tourism Policy 2021.

Commenting on the expansion, Puneet Chhatwal, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, IHCL, said, “We are delighted to bring the iconic Taj brand to Ranchi, a city with immense growth potential. Ranchi’s strategic location and its ongoing transformation into a smart city make it a promising destination.”

He said that a large number of people migrate from Jharkhand to the country and abroad for employment. If employment-related policies are made and implemented in a better way in this state, then the youth will not need to migrate from here for employment.
