Former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda said the government is committing a major scam in the name of paddy procurement.
Speaking to journalists after paying tributes to Deenbandhu Sir Chhotu Ram in Sampla on his birth anniversary on Monday, he said instead of giving farmers the MSP, they are being looted.
He also congratulated the country’s new Chief Justice, Justice Surya Kant, and expressed happiness that a judge hailing from Haryana has reached such a high position. “We and the entire state are proud of him,” Hooda said.
Hooda also responded to the SIR issue in Haryana. He said Congress workers and Booth Level Agents (BLAs) will work vigilantly to prevent any kind of rigging in the voter list. “The public has understood the BJP's mindset and election rigging, and is now openly raising their voice against it,” he stated.
He further expressed concern about the law and order situation in the state. Hooda said since the BJP came to power, law and order has collapsed and the India Justice Report has exposed the government's shortcomings. He added that the government is so negligent about law and order that thousands of police posts remain vacant.
The existing employees are overloaded with work, and the public is forced to bear the brunt of resultant breakdown in law and order.
