National BJP leader and advocate Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal Bhukhri Kalan said that the visionary, compassionate and farmer-centric leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi continues to bring pride, confidence and economic hope to millions of hardworking farmers across the country.

He praised the recent India-US trade understanding, stating that it reflects a balanced, thoughtful and protective approach in which national interest and farmer welfare remain paramount. He added that such decisions demonstrate the Prime Minister’s deep emotional connection with the soil of India and the people who cultivate it with dedication and sacrifice.
Grewal said that the statement of Union Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan rightly highlights how the agreement has been carefully structured to protect domestic agriculture while opening new avenues of growth and prosperity. He noted that the interests of farmers producing wheat, rice, corn, soya and other essential grains have been fully safeguarded, ensuring stability and confidence within the farming community.
He further said that equal care and protection have been extended to farmers engaged in fruit and vegetable cultivation, reflecting the government’s inclusive vision for every section of agriculture. He also appreciated the firm decision to keep sensitive sectors such as poultry and dairy protected, ensuring that domestic producers remain secure and economically stable without facing unfair external competition.
