Screengrab of the video where Union Minister Amit Shah could be seen calling Tamil Nadu BJP leader Tamilisai Soundararajan and instructing her something while waging his finger.

A recent video, where Tamil Nadu BJP leader Tamilisai Soundararajan is seen in conversation with Union Home Minister Amit Shah, circulating on social media has opened the gates of speculation for the netizens.

People are wondering whether or not Shah schooled Soundararajan. Some even speculated that Soundararajan was scolded for indulging in infighting.

A video of a brief conversation between Shah and Soundararajan went viral on Wednesday. Shah could be seen calling Soundararajan and instructing her something while waging his finger.

Soundararajan was the Bharatiya Janata Party’s Lok Sabha Election candidate from South Chennai. She was the Telangana governor earlier and also held the post of the Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry in the past. She was also the state BJP president during 2014-2019.

The viral video of Shah and Soundararajan was purportedly shot during the oath-taking ceremony of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday.

The clip, reportedly, highlights the infighting in the Tamil Nadu unit of the BJP.

The video has created an uproar among the political parties in the South.

From Karthik Gopinath, Tamil Nadu vice-president of the BJP’s social media cell to the Kerala unit of the Congress, took a dig at the BJP over the video.

While the former had to delete the post, the latter highlighted the video enquiring about “BJP’s culture and attitude towards women.”

The party’s post read, “Anyone with some self-respect will give it back to him and quit, @DrTamilisai4BJP. Being a qualified doctor and a former governor, you don’t have to take such insults, that too from a history sheeter!”

Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam spokesperson Saravanan Annadurai also reacted to the video, questioning, “What kind of politics is this?” He sked, “Is it polite to put a prominent female politician of Tamil Nadu on stage and express harsh words or threatening body language? Does Amit Shah not know that everyone will see this? Very wrong example!”

Social media users also took note of the video, with a post highlighting Soundararajan, getting schooled for indulging in infighting against Annamalai, Tamil Nadu BJP state president.

Soundararajan took a dig at Annamalai and the entire state leadership after BJP’s drubbing in Tamil Nadu.
