The Delhi Police addressed the viral videos circulating online, depicting the detainment of a vada pav seller in Outer Delhi, asserting that the seller, Chandrika Dixit, commonly known as the "Vada Pav Girl," was not arrested, and no legal action has been taken against her.

Chandrika Dixit has been operating a food stall in the Mongolpuri area for several months, according to police sources.

Recently, she posted a video showcasing an altercation between herself and locals while organising a community feast, or bhandara, near her stall.

Authorities revealed that Dixit's stall was operating without permission from the municipal body, attracting a significant influx of customers and garnering attention from various online content creators.

The resulting crowds caused traffic congestion in the vicinity, prompting complaints from residents.

Responding to these complaints, law enforcement officials intervened when Dixit organized a bhandara on the roadside.

They stated that she exhibited inappropriate behavior towards the officers upon their arrival, leading to the seizure of her stall and her subsequent transportation to the police station.

DCP Outer Delhi clarified that no formal charges have been filed against Dixit, and she was never subjected to arrest.
