The Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) has announced a three-day delegate session at Sri Anandpur Sahib in November, amidst a rebellion by a section of party leaders. The session aims to prepare the party's long-term future agenda, focusing on key issues such as injustices against Punjab, health, education, environment, and federalism.

The decision was made by the party's core committee, led by President Sukhbir Singh Badal, in response to rebel leaders' calls for a delegate session to elect new party officials. Around 500 delegates will attend the session, which will deliberate on crucial matters.

The rebellion, led by former MP Prem Singh Chandumajra and ex-SGPC chief Bibi Jagir Kaur, demands Badal's resignation following the party's poor performance in the Lok Sabha polls. The core committee also decided to hold political conferences on August 15, 19, and 20 to commemorate significant events.

Additionally, the committee confirmed decisions made by the disciplinary committee, expelling leaders for anti-party activities.

The party condemned the "political vendetta" against senior leader Bikram Singh Majithia and expressed solidarity with him. The meeting also discussed Punjab's financial situation, criticizing the AAP government's handling of debt and loans.
