Highlighting the development done in the national capital and Punjab as a model, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Wednesday, sought voting in Haryana, ahead of the assembly polls in the state.

Mann's appeal comes as the AAP announces its intention to contest all 90 seats in the Haryana assembly polls, citing a desire for change among the electorate. Despite previous electoral attempts, the AAP has yet to achieve success in Haryana.

Addressing a gathering, Mann praised AAP national convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal as "Haryana Ka Laal" (son of Haryana), highlighting his honesty and commitment to public service. Kejriwal's leadership has transformed Delhi's schools and hospitals, Mann claimed, while the AAP government in Punjab has provided zero electricity bills to 90% of households and created over 44,000 government jobs based on merit.

The people of Haryana should be proud of the fact that Haryana's son Arvind Kejriwal, born in Siwani village, changed the direction of the politics of the country, said Mann.

"Can anyone else say this? Only a person who has done work can say this," said Mann.

Mann slammed the rival parties, including the Congress, BJP, and INLD, for their perceived inaction during their tenures in power. He positioned the AAP as a viable alternative for the people of Haryana, citing the party's commitment to public service and accountability.

In a dig at the ruling BJP, Mann questioned the replacement of former Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar with Nayab Singh Saini, suggesting that the party's "engine" had broken down. He argued that the country needs a new engine, not a "double engine" - a term used by the BJP to describe their simultaneous rule at the Centre and in states.

"The people of Haryana made many leaders (of rival parties) win... the leaders won but the people lost. Those leaders did nothing for the public except fill their own pockets," alleged Mann.
