Punjab Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) plans to launch a rural outreach program, engaging with villagers, farmers, and other stakeholders to address various issues. State BJP chief Sunil Jakhar highlighted the importance of dialogue in resolving Punjab's unique challenges, including farmers' concerns.

He stressed the need for consensus-building with farmers, agricultural scientists, and economists.

Jakhar spoke to the media after a day-long meeting of the state BJP's extended executive committee on Friday, where members felt that a misconception about the BJP's stance on farmers' issues needed to be addressed. He highlighted the party's commitment to working for all sections of society, including farmers.

Jakhar raised concerns about unaddressed issues in Punjab, including drugs, sacrilege, and deteriorating law and order. He urged the state AAP government to take action, citing the alarming rise in hate crimes, radical elements, and terror activities.

The BJP aims to engage in constructive dialogue to address Punjab's specific needs as a border state, stressing the importance of effective governance and resolution of pressing issues.

The meeting also saw the participation of Union Ministers Bhupender Yadav and Ravneet Singh Bittu, and BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh. A resolution congratulating Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his third term was passed.
