The legendary playback singer Asha Bhosle has reportedly been admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai this Saturday, following a cardiac arrest. It is reported that she is under treatment in the emergency medical services wing of the hospital, at present.
Asha Bhosle's granddaughter Zanai Bhosle took to Instagram to share the news: "My grandmother, Asha Bhosle, due to extreme exhaustion and suffering of chest infection, has been admitted to hospital.... Treatment is going on, and hopefully everything will be well, and we shall update you...."
Asha Bhosle is considered one of the greatest and most versatile singers in the entire history of Indian music. With a career that spans over seven decades, she has sung thousands of songs in numerous languages and genres, establishing herself as a legendary singer of all times.
