Puja Khedkar, a trainee IAS officer from Maharashtra, has failed to report to the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) despite the deadline having passed. 

 

Following questioning of her selection, Khedkar's training in Maharashtra has been put on hold. 

 

She was required to report to the IAS training academy for further action on July 23, but currently, her phones are switched off. Additionally, the Pune Collector's Office has initiated a probe into allegations of fraudulent acquisition of disability certificates against Khedkar.

 

The request was made as the Divyang Kalyan Commissionerate sent a letter seeking an investigation into the controversial IAS trainee and the doctor who issued her a false disability certificate.

 

The Commissionerate also requested appropriate action against Puja Khedkar in accordance with the regulations outlined in the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act 2016. They also instructed for a case to be filed against Khedkar for obtaining false disability certificates to pursue a career as an IAS officer.

 

Additionally, the authorities have urged the Pune Police to provide information regarding the exact marital status of Puja Khedkar's parents, Dilip Khedkar and Manorama Khedkar. The police have been tasked with determining whether Puja Khedkar's parents are divorced or not.

 

The IAS trainee is facing accusations of fraudulently using the OBC non-creamy layer quota in the UPSC by stating that her parents are separated and she resides with her mother.

 

 In a practice interview, she claimed that her family's annual income was 'zero' even though her father is a retired civil servant.
