PM Modi to Address Lok Sabha Amid Rising Political Tensions.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to deliver a significant address today in the Lok Sabha, marking his first speech to the MPs of the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) during this parliamentary session. This comes as PM Modi assumes office for a third consecutive term, aiming to respond to the Motion of Thanks on the President's address.

Alongside PM Modi’s address, Union Health Minister JP Nadda will present updates on the implementation status of recommendations from various parliamentary committee reports related to health and family welfare ministries. This includes reports on demands for grants pertaining to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and the Ministry of AYUSH.

Joining JP Nadda, a lineup of ministers including Jadhav Prataprao Ganpatrao, Jitin Prasada, Ramdas Athawale, Ram Nath Thakur, Nityanand Rai, Satya Pal Singh Baghel, Shobha Karandlaje, BL Verma, L Murugan, Ajay Tamta, Kamlesh Paswan, and Ravneet Singh will present papers in the Lok Sabha today.

In his recent address, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi stirred controversy during his first speech as Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha. His remarks, which accused the BJP of spreading violence and misleading the House, drew strong reactions from BJP leaders.

Prime Minister Modi, responding to Gandhi’s allegations, emphasised the seriousness of labelling the entire Hindu community as violent and called for an apology from Rahul Gandhi.

The political atmosphere remains charged following these developments, with both BJP and Congress engaging in press conferences to counter each other’s claims.

Rahul Gandhi, in his speech, targeted the BJP over various issues including the NEET-UG controversy and the Agniveer scheme. He also asserted the symbol of ‘Abhayamudra’ as emblematic of fearlessness, safety, and reassurance across Indian religions.

Meanwhile, discussions in the Rajya Sabha were equally tense, with BJP members raising objections to Leader of Opposition Mallikarjun Kharge’s allegations against PM Modi’s divisive speeches during the Lok Sabha campaign.

The debate on the motion of thanks on the President’s address has sparked broader political debates on governance and communal harmony in India.

As PM Modi prepares to address the Lok Sabha today, his response is anticipated to further shape the ongoing discourse on national policies and political rhetoric.
