PM Modi resumes ‘Mann Ki Baat’

Prime Minister Narendra Modi resumed his monthly radio broadcast 'Mann Ki Baat' on Sunday following a hiatus during the Lok Sabha elections, paying tribute to the martyrs of the Santhal Rebellion on Hul Diwas and noting Sidho and Kanho's anti-British movement in 1855, predating the 1857 uprising by two years.

This was his first ‘Mann Ki Baat’ after taking charge as the Prime Minister for a third consecutive term.


Prime Minister Narendra Modi resumed his monthly radio broadcast 'Mann Ki Baat' on Sunday, marking his return after a hiatus during the recent Lok Sabha elections.

 

In a post on X, he said, “Delighted to connect with people through Mann Ki Baat once again…”

 

 

This broadcast, his first since beginning his third consecutive term as Prime Minister, included homage to the martyrs of the Santhal Rebellion on the occasion of Hul Diwas. He highlighted the historical significance of Sidho and Kanho's movement against the British in 1855, predating the 1857 uprising.

 

Prior to the broadcast,PM  Modi had encouraged citizens to share their ideas and suggestions for the programme through social media channels. The monthly broadcasts were temporarily halted due to the enforcement of the Model Code of Conduct during the election period.

 

PMModi's previous 'Mann Ki Baat' aired on February 25, before the announcement of the election schedule.
