PM Modi Pays Tribute To Vajpayee At Sadaiv Atal Memorial.

President Droupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar led the nation in paying heartfelt tributes to former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his death anniversary. The solemn event took place on Friday at 'Sadaiv Atal,' Vajpayee's memorial in Delhi.

The prayer meeting saw the participation of several prominent leaders, including Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, BJP President JP Nadda, and Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, alongside other members of the Cabinet. They gathered to honour the legacy of Vajpayee, who was not only a statesman but also a guiding force for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and a towering figure in Indian politics.

Vajpayee's foster daughter, Namita Kaul Bhattacharya, also paid her respects at the memorial, reflecting the personal and emotional bond she shared with the late leader. Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar was among those who paid tribute to the former Prime Minister, highlighting the deep respect and admiration Vajpayee commanded across the political spectrum.

The official BJP handle on X (formerly Twitter) expressed reverence for Vajpayee, describing him as a source of inspiration and a leader whose contributions to the nation will be remembered for generations.

Union Minister Amit Shah also took to social media, emphasising Vajpayee's role in strengthening India both strategically and economically during his tenure as Prime Minister.

Shah praised Vajpayee's unwavering commitment to political integrity, national interest, and his steadfastness in upholding principles, qualities that continue to inspire political discourse in India.

Atal Bihari Vajpayee, born in Gwalior in 1924, was a pivotal figure in Indian politics. He was the first non-Congress Prime Minister to serve a full term in office, a testament to his leadership and vision. Vajpayee served as Prime Minister in two terms, from May 16, 1996, to June 1, 1996, and from March 19, 1998, to May 22, 2004.

His contributions extended beyond his tenure as Prime Minister; he also served as India's External Affairs Minister from 1977 to 1979 under Prime Minister Morarji Desai.

Vajpayee's legacy is deeply ingrained in India's political and social fabric. His tenure as Prime Minister was marked by significant achievements, including economic reforms and strategic initiatives that have left a lasting impact on the nation. His ability to lead with wisdom, compassion, and a deep sense of national pride endeared him to millions of Indians.
