Miss world pageant returns to India after 3 decades, set to charm from Feb 18 to Mar 9

Expectations soar as 120 contestants hailing from countries worldwide converge to showcase their grace and talent across various venues, including the illustrious Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi.

The iconic Miss World pageant is set to make a dazzling return to India after nearly three decades, captivating audiences from February 18 to March 9. 



With anticipation mounting, organisers announced the grand event's much-awaited comeback, promising a spectacle to remember.



The extravaganza kicks off with a star-studded "Opening Ceremony" and "India Welcomes the World Gala," hosted by the India Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) in the heart of New Delhi on February 20. 

 

From there, the excitement traverses the country, culminating in a breathtaking grand finale at Mumbai's prestigious Jio World Convention Centre on March 9, set to be streamed and telecast globally.

 

Expectations soar as 120 contestants hailing from countries worldwide converge to showcase their grace and talent across various venues, including the illustrious Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. 



The event promises a fusion of culture, beauty, and philanthropy, with participants engaging in charitable initiatives alongside the main competitions.



The announcement, made at a press conference attended by Miss World Karolina Bielawska and esteemed former winners such as Toni Ann Singh, Vanessa Ponce De Leon, Manushi Chhillar, and Stephanie Del Valle, sparked waves of excitement. 



Julia Morley, the chairman and CEO of the Miss World Organization, expressed her heartfelt gratitude for the opportunity to return to India, praising the efforts of Jamil Saidi in making the comeback possible.



India's rich history with the pageant adds to the anticipation, having last played host in 1996. 



Notable Indian winners, including Manushi Chhillar, Reita Faria Powell, Aishwarya Rai, Diana Hayden, Yukta Mookhey, and Priyanka Chopra Jonas, have left an indelible mark on the competition, showcasing India's beauty and talent to the world stage.
