Union Home Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to visit Jharkhand on July 20 to attend the extended working committee meeting in Ranchi. His visit comes as the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) gears up for the upcoming assembly elections in the state.

 

Shah will arrive at Birsa Munda Airport in Ranchi on a BSF plane and proceed to the meeting venue at Jagannathpur. He will also meet senior BJP leaders at the party's headquarters in Ranchi on the same day. 

 

This visit is considered significant as it marks Shah's first visit to Jharkhand after the general elections and the release of Chief Minister Hemant Soren from jail. BJP insiders believe Shah's presence will boost the morale of the state BJP unit, which has been feeling disheartened after losing five tribal seats in the Lok Sabha polls.

 

The former BJP national president is also expected to hold discussions with key state leaders to strengthen the party's organizational structure. Over 25,000 BJP officials from various levels across Jharkhand are anticipated to attend the extended working committee meeting.

 

Additionally, Shivraj Singh Chauhan, Union Minister and former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, both involved in the assembly election preparations, along with in-charge Laxmikant Bajpai, will be present during Shah's visit.
