The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has postponed the launch of its Class 12 re-evaluation and photocopy of answer sheets portal to June 1, 2026, citing technical upgrades to handle high traffic and ensure a glitch-free process for students.
In an official statement, the board said the portal was being strengthened to improve server capacity, security features and overall user experience. The window was earlier expected to open on May 28.
“The re-evaluation portal for Class 12 is being strengthened. The window will now open on June 1, 2026,” the CBSE said.
The decision comes amid growing concerns from students and parents over discrepancies in the 2026 board examination results, particularly under the On-Screen Marking (OSM) system. Several candidates have been waiting for the portal to open so they can apply for re-evaluation and challenge their marks.

Once the portal becomes operational, students will be able to apply online for both obtaining photocopies of evaluated answer sheets and seeking re-evaluation of specific questions.
CBSE has advised students to regularly check the official website for updates regarding the exact activation time and deadlines for submission of applications.
This marks the second instance in recent weeks where the board has delayed a key post-result process, adding to concerns among students about potential delays affecting higher education admission timelines.
The board, however, maintained that the postponement is purely technical and aimed at ensuring a smooth and transparent evaluation process.
