The wife of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Sunita, has spoken out about her husband's custody in connection with the alleged excise scam. She stated that Kejriwal will reveal the truth regarding the case in court on March 28, at the end of his Enforcement Directorate (ED) custody.

Sunita criticized the ED and the central government, highlighting that despite conducting over 250 raids, no evidence related to the "so-called liquor scam" has been found.

During her visit to the ED office, Sunita reported that Kejriwal's health is deteriorating due to uncontrolled diabetes but emphasized his determination. She questioned the Centre's actions, citing Kejriwal's directive to resolve water and sewer-related issues for Delhi and expressing concerns over the government's intentions towards the city.

Arvind Kejriwal, the National Convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), was arrested on March 21 in connection with the Delhi Excise policy case, under investigation for alleged money laundering. The case pertains to irregularities and money laundering in the formulation and execution of the Delhi excise policy in 2022.

The Enforcement Directorate's prosecution complaint, filed in November 2021, alleged that the policy was designed with loopholes to favor AAP leaders, resulting in financial losses to the exchequer.

AAP leaders were accused of receiving kickbacks, and the case stemmed from a report highlighting procedural deficiencies in the policy's development.

While Kejriwal was not initially named in the FIRs, his name appeared in the chargesheet, with allegations of communication with one of the main accused. The ED claimed that Kejriwal spoke to Sameer Mahendru, one of the accused, in a video call, instructing him to continue working with another accused, Vijay Nair, who serves as AAP's communications-in-charge.

The developments in this case have sparked public interest and raised questions about political motivations and accountability in governance. As the legal proceedings unfold, the nation awaits further revelations and clarifications in this high-profile case.
