Arunachal Pradesh is poised to host the 60th grand finale of the Femina Miss India pageant, a prestigious event that promises to spotlight the state’s natural beauty and cultural heritage.

 

Chief Minister Pema Khandu confirmed the news on Wednesday, expressing confidence in the state’s infrastructure to support such a significant event.

 

CM Khandu expressed his enthusiasm on X, stating, "We've had productive discussions with the Miss India Organization and are confident in our improved infrastructure to organise this prestigious event. The winner, who will represent India at the Miss World pageant, will be crowned in our breathtakingly beautiful state, showcasing Arunachal's natural beauty, hospitality, and immense tourism potential on both national and international stages."

 

 

This development marks a significant milestone for Arunachal Pradesh, making it the second state from the Northeast to host the finale of the prestigious Femina Miss India pageant.

 

The 59th edition was previously hosted in Manipur at the indoor stadium in Khuman Lampak, Imphal East.

 

Known for its stunning landscapes and vibrant cultural heritage, Arunachal Pradesh offers a picturesque backdrop that promises a unique setting for such a grand occasion.

 

The Femina Miss India pageant is a renowned platform that celebrates beauty, talent, and grace, holding significant cultural and entertainment value across the country.

 

Since its inception, the Miss India pageant has been a launchpad for numerous iconic success stories, including Zeenat Aman, Juhi Chawla, Aishwarya Rai, Priyanka Chopra, Dia Mirza, Manushi Chhillar, and Neha Dhupia.

 

India is among the few countries to have won six Miss World titles, further cementing the pageant’s significance.

 

The 60th edition of Femina Miss India has officially begun, with aspirants from around the world preparing to compete for this coveted crown.

 

The pageant not only celebrates beauty but also values intelligence, confidence, and charisma, making it a platform for empowered young women to showcase their multifaceted talents.

 

Before participating, it is essential for aspirants to understand the eligibility requirements. Here’s a complete guide to assist prospective contestants:

 

Age Requirement: Participants must be between 18 and 25 years old, with the age calculated as of December 31, 2023.

 

Height Requirement: Participants must have a minimum height of 5 feet 3 inches (5'3") without heels.

 

Relationship Status: Contestants must be single, not engaged, unmarried, and have never been married before.

 

Nationality: Only Indian passport holders are eligible to participate in Femina Miss India 2024.

 

OCI Cardholders: OCI (Overseas Citizen of India) cardholders are eligible to participate but can only reach the title of 2nd Runner-Up.
