Adani Vizhinjam Port Private Limited (AVPPL) has been honored with the 'International Safety Award' for 2023 by the British Safety Council, in recognition of its steadfast commitment to ensuring the health and safety of workers and workplaces.

 

AVPPL joins the ranks of 269 global organizations receiving a 'Distinction in the International Safety Awards 2024', out of the total 1,124 recipients of the award.

 

"This achievement underscores our unwavering commitment to maintaining the highest safety standards across all our operations. It’s a testament to the dedication and hard work of our entire team, and it reaffirms our position in building the safest port in the country," stated Ashwani Gupta, CEO of Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd (APSEZ).

 

APSEZ, a division of the globally diversified Adani Group, has transitioned from a port company to an integrated transport utility, offering end-to-end solutions from its port gate to customer gate.

APSEZ holds the distinction of being India's largest port developer and operator, boasting seven strategically positioned ports and terminals on the west coast and an additional seven on the east coast, collectively representing 27 percent of the country’s total port volumes. This extensive network enables the handling of vast cargo quantities from both coastal regions and the hinterland.

 

Furthermore, the company is actively involved in the development of a transshipment port in Colombo, Sri Lanka, and operates the Haifa Port in Israel.
