Leavitt has been very vocal about her acting ambitions, taking to social media to tease her film debut last year.

Whitney Leavitt is exiting Hulu’s "The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives”, the reality television actress-turned-Broadway performer revealed during her concluding Chicago show on Sunday. Her spokesperson confirmed the development.

Leavitt has been a regular in every episode of the popular, Emmy-nominated series, which tracks a circle of Mormon mother-influencers navigating a sex scandal that threatens their religious beliefs, social ties, and public standing.

It is currently unclear if Leavitt will feature in the forthcoming and partially filmed season 5 as a guest star or fully-fledged member.

The series, which premiered in September 2024, recently suffered its own controversy when production was halted following a domestic violence allegation involving lead cast member Taylor Frankie Paul. Charges against Paul were eventually dismissed after video evidence surfaced showing her striking ex-boyfriend Dakota Mortensen with a metal stool. Following this incident, Disney+ confirmed that filming for Season 5 is set to resume, though a specific return date remains unannounced.

Leavitt has been very vocal about her acting ambitions, taking to social media to tease her film debut last year.

A rising star of the “MomTok” sensation, Leavitt is set to transition to film as both the lead actress and executive producer of “All for Love,” a festive romantic comedy produced by The Ninth House. She has been openly ambitious about her transition to mainstream acting, frequently sharing updates and teasers about her cinematic debut over the past year.
