The cross-body backpack, a Hermès HAC a Dos PM, is no ordinary bag. Priced at nearly Rs 7 lakh, it’s a miniature homage to the brand’s iconic HAC (Haut à Courroies) tote, crafted from flawless fauve Barenia leather.

 

The Hermès HAC, a precursor to the legendary Birkin, has a storied history dating back to the early 20th century. Originally designed as a large tote, the bag was a favourite among the elite long before the Birkin became synonymous with luxury.
