Pakistani actor Tauqeer Nasir alleged that Shah Rukh Khan copied his role in the popular 2006 movie Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna.

 

The veteran actor also claimed that the superstar and filmmaker Karan Johar did not acknowledge his contribution. Speaking to the YouTube channel Zabardast With Wasi Shah, Tauqeer Nasir stated, "Shahrukh's role in the film Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna was a direct copy of his character from the drama Parwaaz." 

 

He added, "Even the detail of an injured leg, depicted in the film, was borrowed from my portrayal in the drama," quoted IANS.

 

Tauqeer Nasir mentioned in an interview that the basis of Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna was the story of Parwaaz, which was written by the famous author Mustansar Hussain Tarar. He also mentioned that Shah Rukh Khan frequently appreciated his work and conveyed his regards to different individuals.

 

However, he didn't hesitate to express his dismay regarding the supposed plagiarism. He said, "Shah Rukh Khan is a talented actor. But it's disappointing to see the lack of recognition for my contribution from his side." 

 

Tauqeer Nasir has also accused Karan Johar of not properly crediting him and Mustansar Hussain Tarar for inspiring the film.

 

Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna, a romantic drama released in 2006, was directed by Karan Johar.

 

The movie features Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Rani Mukerji, Preity Zinta, and Kirron Kher. It explores the complexities of marriage, delving into themes such as love, infidelity, and heartbreak in relationships between men and women.
