Popular film actors Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda sent the internet on a frenzy after rumours surrounding the two dating each other turned true with news of their engagement. Vijay’s team confirmed to a leading English daily on Saturday that he is engaged to Rashmika.
While details of the couple’s engagement are yet to be revealed, close friends of the two say they exchanged rings in a private ceremony with only family and friends in attendance. Neither Rashmika, nor Vijay have so far shared any posts nor made any announcement about their engagement.
Vijay’s team also confirmed that the couple will tie the knot in February, 2026.
Often spotted together, the two have been rumoured to be dating since 2018, since their first film together, Geetha Govindam. In 2019, they featured in another hit, Dear Comrade.

Fans have often speculated on social media the coincidence of Vijay and Rashmika sharing vacation pictures from the same locations. While both confirmed in 2024 that they were not single, they did not name their partners.
Although it became obvious that the couple wants to remain private about their love life, a recent spotting of the two at the airport gave their fans more assurance about them being together.
Rashmika was last seen in the film Kuberaa, which also featured Dhanush and Nagarjuna in lead roles. She will next be seen in the horror-comedy titled, Thamma that also stars Ayushmann Khurrana, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Paresh Rawal. It is scheduled to release in theatres on Diwali 2025.
The actor also has Cocktail 2 with Kriti Sanon and Shahid Kapoor in her kitty, along with Mysaa by Rawindra Pulle and The Girlfriend by Rahul Ravindran.
Vijay was last seen in the film Kingdom, which also featured Satyadev and Bhagyashree Borse in lead roles. It was produced by Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under the banners of Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas, and directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri.
