“One Battle After Another” and “Adolescence” dominated this year’s Golden Globes awards with four wins each.
The Golden Globe Awards 2026 ceremony was held on Sunday. Comedian Nikki Glaser hosted the event. Actors, filmmakers, and creators from around the world were recognised for their work over the past year.
Paul Thomas Anderson’s counterculture epic “One Battle After Another” took home Best Comedy or Musical Film. It also earned him Best Director and Best Screenplay awards, marking his first-ever Golden Globe wins.
Super hit Netflix drama “Adolescence” too picked up four Globes, including Best Limited Series.
Chloe Zhao's Shakespeare drama “Hamnet”, based on Maggie O'Farrell's bestseller, won the Best Film, Drama while its lead star Jessie Buckley, won Best Female Actor in a Drama.

“Sinners” won for Best Score and Cinematic and Box-Office Achievement.
“I love doing what I do so this is just fun,” Anderson said in his speech.
“Adolescence” writer Jack Thorne said the show is not meant to criticise young people but rather “the filth and the debris we have laid in their path.”
Timothée Chalamet won his first Golden Globe, for “Marty Supreme”, after four previous nominations. The 30-year-old is poised to win his first Oscar. Fellow nominees like Leonardo DiCaprio and George Clooney stood to applaud his win.
Teyana Taylor was named Best Female Supporting Actor for her role in “One Battle After Another”, beating out Amy Madigan and Ariana Grande.
Stephen Graham was named Best Actor in a Limited Series winning out against Jude Law and Paul Giamatti, while “Adolescence” star Owen Cooper followed up his historic Emmy win with another award for Supporting Actor. Erin Doherty also won for Supporting Female Actor.
