Yerin reflected that both of them being sick "tells us we were mentally a little bit weak, a little bit nervous, my immune system was down.”

In a revelation that would surely set Lady Whistledown’s quill fluttering, “Bridgerton” newcomer Yerin Ha admitted that a particularly intimate sequence with co-star Luke Thompson had a less-than-glamorous aftermath.

The actress, who plays Sophie Baek in the Netflix hit’s fourth season, shared that the prolonged "steamy" bathtub shoot resulted in a painful case of folliculitis.

“There’s a scene where we are in a bathtub and basically I put baby powder all on me because I was told it would help dry my skin to put the intimacy wear on with my tape,” Yerin shared with “Capital Breakfast” hosts Jordan North, Chris Stark and Sian Welby during Luke and her latest appearance on the morning radio show, “and then basically the next day after the bathtub, I got hives all over my body and got folliculitis and needed steroid cream!”

“But I blame myself,” she continued, “because I think it was a combination of baby powder and the bath water.”

Luke, who plays Benedict Bridgerton, the male leading opposite Yerin’s Sophie, in season four of the Netflix drama, added that they were submerged in the bathtub for seven hours while filming the scene. The 28-year-old actress pointed out that Luke didn’t experience the reaction, adding, “I’m a sensitive gal.”

Folliculitis is a skin condition that occurs when hair follicles become inflamed, typically from a bacterial infection.

Yerin’s candid confession on the sex scene-induced health scare comes after she and Luke, 37, shared another unfortunate health issue that they encountered while shooting, including the famous love-making scene on the staircase.

"What we actually did is we both got ill," Luke said in an earlier interview.

Yerin reflected that both of them being sick "tells us we were mentally a little bit weak, a little bit nervous, my immune system was down.”

"But no, in all seriousness, I do think that with those scenes, it is just an extension of an emotion, and it's there because it has to be, not because we're just doing a steamy scene for a steamy scene's sake."

"’Bridgerton’ is very good at making the scenes feel actually poetic," Luke explained.
