RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav dismissed claims of tensions within his party and the Congress on Tuesday, stating that an agreement over seat sharing for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls in Bihar has been reached. He announced that an official announcement regarding the arrangement will soon be made in Patna.

Yadav attended a meeting of the INDIA bloc at the residence of Congress leader Mukul Wasnik, where discussions on Bihar's seat-sharing formula took place. Following the meeting, Yadav affirmed that his party, along with the Congress and the Left, will collectively contest the Lok Sabha elections in Bihar.

"We have reached a verbal agreement on seat sharing within the INDIA bloc, ensuring all constituents receive a respectable deal," Yadav stated, indicating that a formal announcement would follow in Patna shortly.

Asserting the longstanding alliance between the Congress and RJD, Yadav emphasized their history of contesting elections together without any reported tensions. "Our collective agenda is to halt the BJP, and Bihar will witness a surprising outcome. We have a strategy for that," he added, alongside Bihar Congress president Akhilesh Prasad Singh and AICC in-charge of state Mohan Prakash.

Yadav addressed media reports of discord within the INDIA bloc, pointing out the absence of similar coverage on reported disquiet among NDA constituents in Bihar. Reports had suggested dissatisfaction within the alliance over unilateral candidate announcements by the RJD on certain contested seats, causing unease within the Congress camp.
