Prime Minister Narendra Modi is gearing up for a robust campaign trail in Tamil Nadu as he embarks on a two-day visit to the southern state starting today.

K Annamalai, Tamil Nadu BJP chief, announced on Monday that PM Modi is slated to conduct a roadshow in Chennai on Tuesday, kicking off his campaign blitz ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha election.

The Prime Minister's itinerary also includes public gatherings scheduled in Vellore and Mettupalayam on Wednesday, where he will extend his support to various NDA candidates.

Annamalai highlighted the key agenda of PM Modi's visit, stating, "Tomorrow, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is coming to Chennai to hold a roadshow.

Tomorrow, the PM will visit Vellore to address a public meeting in support of NDA candidates from Vellore, AC Shanmugam and Sowmiya Anbumani from Dharmapuri. Later, the PM will go to Mettupalayam to hold a rally in favour of Nilgiri, Coimbatore, and Pollachi parliamentary constituency candidates.

The BJP has ramped up its campaign efforts in Tamil Nadu, with senior leaders actively participating in public rallies across the state. Just recently, BJP national president JP Nadda conducted a roadshow in Tiruchirappalli, following a court's directive after initial denial of permission by the police.

In a spirited public address at Madurai on Sunday, JP Nadda launched scathing remarks against the INDI alliance, asserting, "The Congress, the DMK, both are two sides of the same coin. Both are families and corrupt parties."

He highlighted the prevalence of corruption allegations against the opposition, citing examples such as the coal scam and the 2G scam. Nadda further emphasised the BJP's commitment to combat corruption, contrasting it with the purported agenda of the INDI alliance.

The forthcoming general elections in Tamil Nadu are scheduled for April 19, encompassing voting for all 39 seats in the state. In the 2019 general elections, the DMK-led Secular Progressive Alliance clinched a resounding victory, securing 38 out of the 39 seats in Tamil Nadu.

As the electoral fervour intensifies, PM Modi's visit underscores the strategic significance of Tamil Nadu in the broader electoral landscape. The Prime Minister's engagement is poised to invigorate the electoral landscape, with the BJP aiming to make significant inroads in the upcoming polls.

Stay tuned for live updates as PM Modi embarks on his dynamic campaign journey through Tamil Nadu, rallying support for the NDA candidates in the state.
