Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed delight today as over one crore households registered for the PM-Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana, a scheme aimed at providing solar power solutions to households across India.

 

The Prime Minister took to social media platform X to announce the achievement, stating, "Outstanding news! In about a month since it was launched, over 1 crore households have already registered themselves for the PM-Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana."

 

The registrations have poured in from every corner of the nation, reflecting the widespread enthusiasm and interest in adopting solar energy solutions. States such as Assam, Bihar, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, and Uttar Pradesh have witnessed over 5 lakh registrations, indicating a strong uptake of the scheme across diverse regions.

 

Encouraging those who haven't yet registered, Modi emphasized the importance of participation, urging citizens to avail themselves of the benefits of the initiative. He reiterated the accessibility of the registration process, directing interested individuals to the official website pmsuryaghar.gov.in.

 

The PM-Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana holds the promise of significant reductions in electricity expenses for households while simultaneously ensuring sustainable energy production.
