Goa's fast bowler, Arjun Tendulkar, delivered an impressive performance in the Ranji Trophy Plate Division match against Arunachal Pradesh at the Goa Cricket Association Academy Ground in Porvorim.

On Wednesday, Arjun was in top form, securing a crucial five-wicket haul that dismantled the Arunachal batting line-up, bowling them out for just 84 runs in the first innings. This standout performance has certainly caught the attention of IPL 2025 scouts.

Playing his 17th First Class match, Arjun Tendulkar's Ranji Trophy performance was highlighted by his bowling figures of 5/25 from 9 overs. He took down the top five Arunachal batters — Neelam Obi, Nabam Hachang, Chinmay Patil, Jay Bhavsar, and Moji Ete — leaving them struggling.

The Arunachal team found it tough to handle Arjun Tendulkar's five-wicket haul, which came after a decisive decision by Arunachal's captain, Nabam Abo, to bat first. Arjun struck early, taking Hachang’s wicket in his first over, setting the tone for a dominant display that saw Arunachal collapse to 36/5, eventually leading to Arjun's first-ever Ranji Trophy five-for.

Arjun received strong support from his teammates, Mohit Redkar (3/15) and Keith Mark Pinto (2/31), as Goa bowled out Arunachal in just 30.3 overs. This stellar performance underlines Arjun's growing career.

He recently turned 25 in September and moved from Mumbai to Goa last year to increase his playing opportunities. This decision is paying off as he continues to shine.

Before this match, Arjun Tendulkar had taken 32 wickets in 14 first-class matches, with a bowling average of 37.75. He’s also contributed with the bat, scoring a century and a couple of fifties in earlier matches.

Arjun's recent Ranji Trophy success is a timely reminder to IPL teams, especially with the IPL 2025 mega auction around the corner, scheduled for November 24-25 in Jeddah. His performance serves as a signal to IPL franchises that he’s ready to make a bigger impact.

Arjun previously played for the Mumbai Indians from 2021 to 2024.

He made his IPL debut in 2023 after being re-signed for INR 30 Lakh, though he only appeared in five matches, taking three wickets with an economy rate of 9.37.

Now, with his recent success, Arjun Tendulkar's IPL prospects look promising as he aims to draw attention from potential bidders.
