Telangana MPs address industry development at CII

While the industry currently benefits from Hyderabad’s scientific talent pool, it is crucial to decentralise and create conducive environments for talented scientists across the state.

Over 10 MPs participated in the session who pledged to work for the development of Telangana at CII interactive session, New Delhi.


Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Telangana organised an interactive session with Honourable Members of Parliament from Telangana on Thursday at New Delhi which was addressed by MPs from all three major political parties of our country — Indian National Congress, Bharatiya Janata Party and Bharat Rashtra Samithi and key industry leaders from the state.

 

G Kishan Reddy, Union Minister of Coal and Mines and BJP MP from Secunderabad, emphasised on how MPs from different parties should come together to bring development in the state of Telangana.

 

He went on to highlight various allocations provided by the Central government in the last seven years.

 

BRS MP Bandi Parthasaradhi stated that the development of a Pharma City through clusters is vital for the growth of the pharmaceutical industry in Telangana. 

 

While the industry currently benefits from Hyderabad’s scientific talent pool, it is crucial to decentralise and create conducive environments for talented scientists across the state.

 

Congress MP Gaddam Vamsi Krishna emphasised that primary focus should be on creating employment opportunities for the youth and bridging the gap between industry and academia.

 

CII consistently takes initiatives to ensure that industry feels supported. He also said that the Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy actively encourages the establishment of diverse industries across Telangana.

 

Congress MP Dr Mallu Ravi reiterated his commitment to development of Telangana, thereby  stressing that that state’s prosperity should be the topmost agenda for all MPs and political parties in the state.

 

D Sai Prasad, Chairman, CII Telangana & Executive Director, Bharat Biotech International Ltd, highlighted Telangana’s GDP of ₹13 lakh crore, surpassing the national average. Our vision is to elevate this to ₹85 lakh crore by 2050.

 

There were 12 MPs who participated in the session who appreciated the initiative taken by the CII to discuss the overall development of Telangana.
