Indian Air Force’s training aircraft ‘Pilatus PC-7’, crashed while on a routine training mission near Tambram, Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The Pilot ejected himself safely, the reports say.
The force further informed that a Court of Inquiry (COI) has been ordered to ascertain the cause.
The single-seater trainer aircraft crashed around 2:50 pm.
After the pilot parachuted safely, local villagers quickly offered assistance. Within 30 minutes, an Indian Air Force (IAF) helicopter landed nearby and airlifted the pilot back to base.
